This geographical area extends from the Jordan River and Wadi Araba in the east, to the Mediterranean Sea and the Sinai desert in the west, to Lebanon in the north, and to the gulf of Aqaba , or Eilat in the south. To neutralize any political concerns about the nomenclature of the area, let's call it Israel-Palestine area, Starting with Israel because it comes first in the alphabet. ''A Stunning Variety'' The geographical area is very variant. There are mountains, Deserts, fields, wodlands and sand dunes. There are four deferent geographical zones and the climate varies from semi-arid to temperate to subtropical. There are some 47,000 living species identified in the area with another 4,000 assumed to exist.
