Berlin is a town located in Marathon County, Wisconsin . As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 887. GEOGRAPHY According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 89.8 Km&2 (34.7 Mi&2 ). 89.8 km&2 (34.7 mi&2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census 2 of 2000, there were 887 people, 313 households, and 256 families residing in the town. The Population Density was 9.9/km&2 (25.6/mi&2). There were 330 housing units at an average density of 3.7/km&2 (9.5/mi&2). The racial makeup of the town was 99.55% White , 0.00% African American , 0.00% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.11% from Other Races , and 0.34% from two or more races. 0.56% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 313 households out of which 37.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.8% were Married Couples living together, 4.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.9% were non-families. 16.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.83 and the average family size was 3.19.
