Beechcroft is known to some as "Croft". The school colors are Gold and Brown. There is some discussion of plans to change the school colors to Black and Gold. The school nickname is the Cougars. SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES The football program at Beechcroft is top in the Columbus City League. Always contending for the City Championship. Beechcroft has reached the playoffs 12 times in football. Including a 5 season run from 1999-2003 of making the playoffs. In 2004 the Beechcroft football team went 9-1, and did not reach the playoffs. A disappointing end to the season. The team loss one game and that was to Brookhaven High School, who finished 15-0 and won the Division 2 State Championship. With Beechcroft in Divison 3, many thought they would have won the state title in Division if they had made the playoffs. In 2005 Beechcroft made it's return to the playoffs after a 8-2 regular season, losing to Brookhaven and Licking Valley(Newark). The team faced Canfield HS in the opening round. Losing 28-0. The team was overmatched in numbers and size. ADMINISTRATION Principal, Tom Reed Assistant Principal, Sara Howell. Assistant Principal, Rodney Roscoe. EXTERNAL LINK |
