Bede Griffiths

He later joined the Benedictine monastery of Prinknash Abbey near Gloucester and then spent some time in the sister abbey in Scotland but, after several years of community life, he went to India where he set up the ashram. Although he remained a Catholic monk he adopted some of the external trappings of Hindu monastic life and entered into dialogue with Hinduism.

He wrote twelve books on Hindu - Christian dialogue. Griffiths' form of Vedanta -inspired Christianity is called Wisdom Christianity .
