Overview The War of Alaris Prime is a fictional conflict in the Star Wars universe between the Wookiees and Trade Federation that lasted in 33-32 BBY (Before the Battle Of Yavin ). Thirty-two BBY was the year of the Battle Of Naboo , and this conflict on Alaris proved as a training ground for the Trade Federation's droid armies. Introduced in the PC Real-Time-Strategy game ''Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds'', this planet has been the location of several important events during and proir to the Clone Wars . Wookiee Colonization With the aid of Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn , the race of Wookiees from the planet Kashyyyk were able to successfully colonize this relatively small planet and set up a profitable outpost of galactic influence. However, this did not come easily. Early Troubles The first problem that was discovered with this world was the local population of fierce Gundarks that inhabited Alaris Prime. These savage beasts are very common on Alaris Prime and the Wookiees were forced to destroy many of their nests before successful colonization could begin. On one such mission, the Wookiees discovered a squad of Trade Federation Battle Droids, which were also attempting to wipe out the local Gundark nest. When the Trade Federation droids turned on the Wookiees, the colonizers' leaders, Attichitcuk and his son, Chewbacca , set a course of action to drive the Federation's illegal presence away. The relitevaly small war included several small conflicts, the most significant of which follow. Battles in the War of Alaris Prime ''Skirmish at New Wroshyr'' was the first battle on Alaris. New Wroshyr, the capital of Alaris Prime after the Wookiee colonization, was a key city in the fight against the primative, though lethal, Gundarks. After a Wookiee brigade happened upon a Gundark Nest, they were ambushed by Trade Federation battle droids, which they were able to beat back. ''Ambush at Wok'' was the second major conflict in the war. Though very brief, it was a very potent blow to the Wookiee command, since their chief leader, Attichitcuk, was severely injured in the battle. However, with the use of powerful medical technology employed by the Wookiees, Attichitcuk later made a safe recovery. ''Siege of TF Outpost D'' was a turning point in the war. "Outpost D," as referred to on the Wookiee's war maps, was near the city Wok, and a location of large output for Battle Droids. Chewbacca led the attack on the center, which was very successful. However, the Trade Federation still did not consent defeat with this crippling blow. ''Battle of New Wroshyr'' was actually simply a hit-and-run mission near an outpost near the city in which several Trade Federation transmitters were keeping tap of the Wookiees' operations. The Trade Federation attempted to reerect these in a different area, but were unsuccessful. Battle for Alaris Prime ''Battle for Alaris Prime'' was the conflict that ended the Alaris Prime War. The well-trained and well-organized Wookiee Army, Navy, and Space Force hit in a coordinated strike against the main station of activity of the Trade Federation on Alaris. After the army and navy forces successfully destroyed what anti-air forces the Trade Federation had, an Air Force swept through the rubble of the settlement and destroyed all production facilities. The Wookiees were also aided by a small squad of Jedi Knights, including Master Qui-Gon Jinn. After this crushing defeat, the Trade Federation withdrew all of its units on Alaris Prime and retreated to a nearby space outpost, after which the armies that remained were refurbished and shipped to the Trade Federation's space stations that, at this time, were beginning to blockade the planet of Naboo .
