Batman is a Railway Station in Melbourne , Victoria , Australia . It is located on the Upfield Line in the suburb of Coburg North . HISTORY Originally named Bell Park, the station was renamed Batman in 1914 after John Batman . The original name referred to a picturesque lakeside reserve a short walk from the station which has itself been renamed Lake Reserve. FACILITIES Batman is now accessible off Gaffney Street. The station is in Metcard Zones 1+2 overlap and is unmanned. A former signal box is located at the UP end of the island platform.
