Information About

Baron Armstrong

The first creation came in 1887 when the industrialist Sir William George Armstrong was made '''Baron Armstrong''', of Craigside in the County of Northumberland. This title became extinct on his death in 1900 . However, the title was revived three years later for his great-nephew '''William Henry Armstrong Fitzpatrick Watson-Armstrong''', who was created '''Baron Armstrong''', of Bamburgh and of Craigside in the County of Northumberland . This title became extinct in 1987 on the death of the first Baron's grandson, the 3rd Baron.
