Its main bases are Melbourne Airport (MEL), Melbourne and Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD), Sydney . It was formed as a joint venture between Qantas and Australia Post , both of whom have a 50% share in the airline. AAE use freight capacity on Qantas domestic flights and also dedicated cargo services operated on their behalf by National Jet Systems .
