Calloway was a Federal Express Flight Engineer who was about to be fired, as FedEx management had discovered that he had lied on his Résumé about his experience flying for the United States Navy . He decided to exact revenge on FedEx by hijacking one of their aircraft and crashing it into Federal Express HQ in Memphis, Tennessee . In the hijacking attempt, in which Calloway was armed with a Hammer and a Spear Gun , all three pilots were critically injured, although the plane managed to land safely back at Memphis. |
