''Athena Voltaire'' is a Webcomic with scripts by Paul Daly, concerning the adventures of heiress/pilot/stuntwoman Athena Voltaire in the 1930s. ''Athena Voltaire'' started at the Modern Tales sister site Adventure Strips, leading to its until-recently horizontal, Prince Valiant -esque sideways page format. When Adventure Strips was disbanded as a site, Athena Voltaire moved to Modern Tales itself, and then recently moved to Graphic Smash . With its retro-adventure hook, ''Athena Voltaire'' specializes in clean-lined inks from artist Steve Bryant and extremely lush and detailed colors from colorist Chad Fidler. In 2005, ''Athena Voltaire'' was nominated for an Eisner Award in the new Best Digital Comic category. |
