During his career, Arastu Yar Jung also served as the Head of Surgery at the Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad. CONTRIBUTIONS As a member of the Bohra Muslim Jamaat , Arastu Yar Jung was an active contributor to the community. Among other things, he is known for having financed and surveyed the construction of a Masjid in the Hyderabadi neighborhood of Husaini Alam . Completed in 1913, this masjid is still in use today. Because of his dedicated service to the community and vast religious knowledge, Arastu Yar Jung received the honorable title of "Sheikh" from the Bohra jamaat. MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION His full title was: Moin-ul-hukma Dr. Sheikh Abdul Husain Jaliluddin Nawab Arastu Yar Jung Bahadur After sending some of his children and grandchildren abroad to study at various institutions including the University of London and Cambridge University, many family members established themselves in the United States, Canada, and in the UK, where they have remained for nearly 3 generations.
