Animal Face-Off is a Television Program airing on Animal Planet as well as occasionally on the Discovery Channel . This program centers on a hypothetical battle between two Animal s that might have (but usually do not) meet/met in the wild, or have been compared to each other by people but never met in the wild. Because it is too dangerous and impractical to use real-live animals in a fight, Aluminum or Stainless Steel replicas and models are used to collect data (such as strength, bite force etc.) about the animals. Then, in a virtual arena, a brief computer-animated fight scene reveals the results. It's a bit of light infotainment that has achieved somewhat of a cult following.
