This article is about the ledgenary "WAAAAAAAAP" saying. It can be used as a sound to imitate something hitting something. It can sound like an old propeller aeroplane, when holding the AAAAAA sound for a while. It can also go togethter with other sayings, such as: "waaaaaapety chip", "chipety waaaaap", "waaaaapety waaaap", "waaaaapety chipety wedge", and "chipety wedge" among others. This word originated from Turners Beach in North-West Tasmania. {Latest update - 21st April 2006} Another saying using "WAAAAAP" has arisen, and is now being used widely. It is "Wapsicle". There is also a song about it: Wapsicle, Popsicle, on your own head.... (4X). |
