EXTERNAL LINKS Andrew William Agnew was born on 28th September 1976. He has lived in Elderslie most of his life with a few years living in Glasgow while struggling to find work and graduating from Langside College. Andrew is most famous for his starring performances with a strong cast in CBeebies Bafta winning show, Balamory . In this programme he plays the loveable Policeman better known as PC Plum . But on his way to finding this success Andrew has had to start from the very beginning. He started off performing on stage for such Musical Dramatic groups as the Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group and St. Pauls Church drama club. When his television career began he was in a BBC2 show called "Fran's People" where he was the character of the Muted Chef. He then got his big break for Brian Jamieson in Balamory. With the Cast of Julie Wilson Nimmo , Juliet Cadzow , Mary Riggins , as well as many other now familiar faces. Everybody knowing the quote "What's the Story in Balamory?" Now Andrew is on the other side of the cameras with Balamory now at a close, He is directing for the first time for a new childrens television programme called "Me Too" which should be a highly successful take over for Balamory lovers. Unfortunately, while he may have been famous for playing a cop on TV, he needed a cop in 2004 after being assaulted by the brother of an ex-downstairs neighbor who griped about Agnew's TV blaring loud, as well as him having a noisy tumble-drier. John Watson, the attacker, was found guilty and served a 150-hour community service sentence. |
