''Analogue Bubblebath 3.1'' was the eighth EP released by Techno and IDM artist Richard D. James, under his commonly known alias, AFX . It is a companion to '' Analogue Bubblebath 3 ''. The EP consists of five Songs , most of which are done in the Acid House Techno style which was popular at the time. It was released in 1997 on Rephlex Records in the 12" Vinyl format. No CD copy exists. All tracks are untitled. Those labelled with "ab3 CD" can also be found on CD copies of '' Analogue Bubblebath 3 '' as tracks 9, 13 and 8, respectively. Some fans use "cat 00897", the catalogue number of ''Analogue Bubblebath 3'', instead of "ab3 CD". The first track on side B is the sound of a bathtub draining, also found at the very end of the CD copy of ''Analogue Bubblebath 3''. The final track on side B appears after a Locked Groove and consists of modulated voices (seen as Richard's and his friends' own voices) talking about recordings at high rates, smelly cunts and "shit smothered on the microphone".
