Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli or simply '''Anahuacalli Museum''' is the name of a museum located in the south of Mexico City . The word ''Anahuacalli'' means "house around of water". Diego Rivera , motivated by his own interest in the Mexican culture collected near 60 thousand prehispanic pieces during his life and projected a building to place and exhibit them. The building forms a teocalli with means “house of energy”, its design notably influenced by the Teotihuacan culture as it could be appreciated in the building’s boards, recreating Tlaloc ’s (rain god) image. It is also Maya n and Aztec influenced, as it could be appreciated in the hexagonal (Mayan) and rectangular (Aztec) arcs that give access to the different showrooms. REFERENCES
