She was the daughter of Lewis Dillwyn, owner of the Dillwyn Spelter Works at Swansea . Following her father's death, she managed the works herself. Her unorthodox appearance and lifestyle made her a well-known figure in the local community. She died in Swansea and was buried in the churchyard of St. Paul's, Sketty . Her house, Ty Gwyn ("White House"), still stands. Works
