BELIEFS The American Anglican Council is a conservative organisation. They support changes in the Episcopal Church In The United States , particularly in regard to the Episcopal Church's views on homosexuality. In public statements, the AAC presents their goal as reforming ECUSA , though a leaked strategy memo (dated December 28, 2003) written by the Rev. Geoff Chapman for the AAC suggests that their ultimate goal is a "realignment" of Anglicanism in which ECUSA would be expelled from the Anglican Communion and the AAC would form the nucleus of a replacement Anglican jurisdiction in the U.S. The AAC has close ties and for many years shared an office with the Institute On Religion And Democracy , a right-wing organization seeking to influence U.S. domestic and foreign policy and reform American mainline Christian denominations to bring them into closer conformity with their conservative political and religious views. LEADERSHIP The AAC is governed by the Board of Trustees. The Rev. Canon David C. Anderson is the President and CEO of the American Anglican Council. The Rt. Rev. Peter H.
