Aluminium foil typically has a highly reflective side and a more matte side. This is a result of common manufacturing processes. Anodizing creates an oxide layer on the aluminium surface that can accept coloured dyes or metallic salts, depending on the process used. Within a few hours all aluminium foil was sold out throughout the country. In 2004 , Olympia, Washington , Lucas Trerice achieved national attention in America for wrapping his friend's entire apartment with aluminum foil.
