Alexandra Meissnitzer (born 18 June , 1973 in Abtenau, Salzburg ) is a professional alpine Skier from Austria . Her specialities are the Downhill, Super-G and Giant Slalom disciplines. She comes from Abtenau . Her father, Hans Meissnitzer, a mechanic by trade, taught her to ski at an early age. In 2006 she won the bronze in the 2006 Winter Olympics at Turin in the Super-G race.
