Alberta General Election, 1909




The Liberal Party of Premier Alexander C. Rutherford was re-elected with 36 of the 41 seats in the legislature, and over 60% of the popular vote. The Conservative Party of A.G. Robertson formed the Official Opposition , with only two members. The remaining three seats were split between smaller parties and independents.

The vote in the district of Athabasca was conducted on July 15 1909 due to the remoteness of the riding.
