Agent For H.a.r.m.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

''Agent for H.A.R.M.'' is a delightful attempt to keep the spy themed 60's going, as well as being a blatant "American-ized" James Bond rip off. The main character, Adam Chance, works for an American agency called, what else, H.A.R.M. He's assigned to protect Dr. Jan Steffanic, a recent defector from Soviet territory even though it's never specified where. Dr. Steffanic has developed a new weapon that shoots spores at people and turns them into essentially green goop.

Dr. Jan Steffanic also has a niece, who's favorite apparel seems to be bakini's, named Ava Vestok. Ava eventually falls for the "charms" of Chance, but soon Steffanic is captured by European bad guys (also not specified). Chance soon finds out that Ava is exposed as a double agent for the Communists, eventually being arrested and Steffanic saved.

OTHER APPEARANCES

In 1997 , ''Agent for H.A.R.M.'' was featured on movie-mocking Television Show '' Mystery Science Theater 3000 '', as experiment (episode) #815.

TRIVIA

''Agent for H.A.R.M.'' was originally produced as a television pilot for a new spy series, but it was then given a theatrical release instead.

H.A.R.M. stands for Human Aetiological Relations Machine. Aetiology is a British variant of Etiology which is the branch of medical science concerned with causes and origins of diseases. This full wording is seen at the top of the world map in the very last scene of the movie.
