''Adventures in the Magic Kingdom'' is a video game released in 1992 for the Nintendo Entertainment System .


THE PLOT

The game puts the player in the main character role. Goofy left the golden key for the castle gate inside, and Mickey Mouse asks your help to find six silver keys needed to open the Disney castle gate. This will allow the Disney parade to begin. The player must then go through six different stages, modeled after rides in Disneyland and Magic Kingdom , in order to retrieve the keys. When you've completed all six tasks you can just walk to the castle gate, Mickey will congratulate you and the parade will begin.


THE STAGES

The game begins with you moving around the park in a top perspective (similar to Theme Park . Each stage is one of the park rides, and you can walk around the park to chose the order in which you play each level. The stages vary in difficulty and in play mode, and can be completed in any order. The six stages are the following:


Autopia

In this stage you control a speed car in a race against villain Panhandle Pete , who has stolen one of the mentioned keys. The game play is from a top perspective and you must swerve and drive your car against various obstacles and pits.


Haunted Mansion

This is a traditional Side Scroller where you must go inside the Haunted Mansion againts 999 Ghosts to retrieve one of the keys. You can throw candles at the different ghosts to defeat them. In the final room, you must defeat the final ghost to win the key.


Pirates of the Caribbean

This is another Side Scroller where you must rescue several Tourists from Pirates who have raided the Pirates Of The Caribbean . Pirates will bump you or throw barrels at you. When you've rescued all the tourists, you can light a Bonfire to signal the rescuers to pick you up. You have no offensive weapons in this level, unless you locate the candle that will allow you to shot unlimited fireballs.


Big Thunder Mountain

This is another game from a top perspective, like Autopia. You control a Train going down a track, and you must quickly choose from the various paths to take. Each path will take you through several obstacles, boulders, barriers, etc. You must pick the right track in order to reach the final station.


Space Mountain

In this game you get on board of a spaceship with the mission to reach a certain star. The game is in First Person perspective and you must use the arrow controls on the keypad to move through the Asteroids in your way. You will also have to shoot enemy ships with your phaser.


The Trivia Game

Finally, (althoughb this level is availiable at anytime) you have to walk around the park to find several kids that will lead you to the final key. In order to ensure you're the right person they will ask you different trivia questions about Disney movies and characters, which you will have to answer correctly in order to win the key. Once you correctly answer all the questions, you be will given directions to another kid in the park.
