Adogawa (安曇川町; -cho) was a Town located in the former Takashima District , Shiga , Japan . As of 2003 , the town had an estimated Population of 14,245 and a Density of 293.89 persons per Km² . The total area was 48.47 km². The town was dissolved upon the formation of a new city on Jan. 1, 2005 called Takashima with the merging of Adogawa , Imazu , Kutsuki , Makino , Shinasahi , and Takashima towns. |
