During the 11th month of 1285 , Yoritsuna attacked the domain of the Adachi . Many of such family members that died belonged to the clans of Banno , Osone , Ogasawara , Ueda , Kobayakawa , Mishina , Ashina , Futokorojima , Tsunashima , Ikegami , Namikata , and Nikaido . This "Frosty Moon" affair led to bring misfortune upon many clans, and to leave to many suicides. It is not truly known why Yoritsuna attacked Yasumori, but many believe it was due to that of Yasumori's hear, Munekage , plotting to take the post of Shogun (due to claiming to be a descendant of Minamoto No Yoritomo . Yoritsuna already had a deep hatred for Yasumori, and this strengthened it. Their rivaly came to an end in 1293 .
