Yitzhak Navon (or '''Yitschak Navon''') (born April 9 , 1921 ) was an Israeli Political Figure . He served as the fifth President Of Israel between 1978 and 1983 . Born in Jerusalem, Israel , he was first elected to the Knesset in 1965. Between 1984 and 1990 he served as vice prime minister and minister of education. |
