''Yesterdays'' is a 1975 Compilation Album by the British Progressive Rock band Yes . Released as the band were about to explore their own solo projects, it consists mostly of material from their first two albums, '' Yes '' and '' Time And A Word ''. In addition, it features the 1970 B-side "Dear Father" and their cover of Simon & Garfunkel 's " America " which was featured on an Atlantic Records sampler album in 1972 . An edit of this extended recording was also released as a US single that year.

All of the tracks on this album feature Yes’s original line-up with Peter Banks and Tony Kaye except "America", which includes Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman .

This was the last Yes album until '' Drama '' ( 1980 ) to use cover artwork by Roger Dean . The front cover incorporates imagery from the cover of '' Time And A Word '', while the back cover was designed to be used as an alternate front cover.
