CAREER Yael Dayan is the daughter of of her father called ''My Father, His Daughter''. In 1992, Dayan was elected to the Israeli Knesset on the Labour Party list, and was re-elected in 1996 and 1999. Dayan joined Meretz with Yossi Beilin the founders on the Meretz Yachad Party list. In her time as a public servant, Dayan has been an advocate for both Women's Rights and Gay Rights , and has been a harsh critic of Israel's occupation of Palestinian Territories . Yael headed Meretz List to Tel-Aviv Municipality Elections in 2004. Meretz got 5 out of 31 Seats on Council and joined Ron Huldai's Co-alition. She is Deputy Mayor and responsible for Social Services. Yael Dayan had two children (Dan and Rachel) with her late husband, Dov Sion .
