HISTORY Woodinville was officially incorporated on March 31 , 1993 . GEOGRAPHY Woodinville is located at 47°45'9" North, 122°9'21" West (47.752452, -122.155949). According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 14.7 Km&2 (5.7 Mi&2 ). 14.6 km&2 (5.6 mi&2) of it is land and 0.1 km&2 (0.04 mi&2) of it is water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 9,194 people, 3,512 households, and 2,412 families residing in the city. The Population Density was 629.4/km&2 (1,630.0/mi&2). There were 3,592 housing units at an average density of 245.9/km&2 (636.8/mi&2). The racial makeup of the city was 84.01% White , 0.91% African American , 0.51% Native American , 7.33% Asian , 0.25% Pacific Islander , 3.70% from Other Races , and 3.28% from two or more races. 7.16% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 3,512 households out of which 36.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.5% were Married Couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.3% were non-families. 25.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.15. In the city the population was spread out with 26.6% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 96.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.2 males. The median income for a household in the city was $68,114, and the median income for a family was $81,251. Males had a median income of $53,214 versus $35,404 for females.
