Information About

Wolfpac

WOLFPAC is the underground hip-hop/horror-core musical project of ex-Bloodhound Gang rapper Daddy Long Legs. Their aggressive rap style is tempered with over the top horror-core lyrics and hardcore and heavy metal samples. Wolfpac also uses a unique vocal style in which in parts of the songs in which it sounds like there are several people shout the word at the same time(also used in early Bloodhound Gang songs).

WOLFPAC's origins stem from the Philadelphia area's The Bloodhound Gang, the group whose massive-selling independent Dingleberry Haze debut earned them a major label bidding war. Originally a five-man white boy hip-hop crew, they landed a deal with Columbia Records and released Use Your Fingers, which went on to sell almost 200,000 copies nationwide. However, soon after the album's release, the original line up disintegrated over internal issues. While Bloodhound Gang frontman Jimmy Pop Ali retained the band name and assembled a new line up, Daddy Long Legs and ex-BHG member MSG became founding members of WOLFPAC. MSG later left the group, and a constantly rotating line up would establish Daddy as the main creative force behind the group.

Much of WOLFPAC's early growth focused on building an underground following, developed through word-of-mouth, touring, the Internet, and appearances on the "Howard Stern Show," eventually making a fan of Stern himself. Their first self-released album "Something Wicked This Way Comes," firmly established the group's signature sound; it was later picked up, re-packaged and distributed by Megaforce Records as "Evil Is..." featuring additional tracks and new cover art. WOLFPAC later garnered a sponsorship from Jagermeister and bonded with fellow rap act Insane Clown Posse, touring with Psychopathic Records artists Twiztid and Dope. Their music has been featured prominently in the "Shane's World" adult series, and porn star Jenna Jameson has appeared on the cover of both albums.
