Wikiversity is a free, open learning environment and research community. Online courses are being created as a form of co-operative and interactive exchange of knowledge. Wikiversity is still being designed and discussed. A formal proposal to start Wikiversity as an independent project was voted on . The Wikiversity project was discussed at the November Wikimedia Board meeting . The Board requested that some be made before the project starts.
