Watertown Carhouse (a/k/a Watertown Yard) is at this termination point. It was formerly used to store and service Streetcar s even well after the replacement of the Green Line "A" Branch by bus route 57, and even for a short period after the removal of the tracks on this route. As Of 2005 , it is being used for servicing, storage, and testing of new Dual-mode Bus es and Trolleybus es that the MBTA has purchased but not yet accepted into regular service. Watertown Carhouse is located across the Charles River from Watertown Square. As Of 2006 , MBTA Buses 59 and 71 stop in the turnaround (also taxistand) at Watertown Square. Buses 70 and 70A stop at designated stops along Main Street. Buses 52, 57, 502 and 504 use Watertown Carhouse. |
