In the fictional
Star Wars , was the Foreman of the
Techno Union , a multi-planet conglomerate dealing in manufacturing and product development. Because he wanted to escape the choking bureaucracy of the
Galactic Senate , he joined
Count Dooku 's
Confederacy Of Independent Systems and supplied his droid armies to them. He also hosted the first Separatist meeting at a Union factory on the planet
Geonosis . As a Skakoan, Tambor relied on a special pressurized suit to survive in most oxygen-rich atmospheres and spoke through a mechanical voicebox; it is unknown if Tambor (and perhaps all Skakoans) has no voice of his own, requires a translator, or is simply so devoted to technology that he prefers to hear himself through a speaker.
In
Revenge Of The Sith , Wat Tambor was kept at a secret location on
Utapau along with the rest of the Separatist Council due to the changing climate of war. He and the other Separatists were later relocated to
Mustafar , where Tambor was slaughtered by
Anakin Skywalker , now the
Sith Lord,
Darth Vader .
During the
Clone Wars , a bounty was placed on Tambor's head. Whilst Tambor stayed on Xagobah with General Greivous,
Boba Fett tracked him there, but was unsuccessful in capturing him.
Also in the midst of the . Following this incident and with his newly acquired eye, Tambor was told by the Techno Union Overlord Council that he was "to go to Mustafar to meet his destiny". Whether the council was aware of what was about to happen to Tambor or not remains a mystery as it is not mentioned. It is unclear if this story is actually canonical, as most of the Visionaries book takes place in the non-continuity Infinities universe.
Later in the Clone Wars,
Techno Union scientists were in charge of creating the army Grevious needed from the Nelvaanian braves, but with the aid of
Anakin Skywalker , the test subjects rebelled. The head Techno Union scientist was killed by Skywalker using the deadly Force choke that would later become his trademark. Though this scientist bore a resemblance to Wat Tambor, he was not the Foreman.
