Warmiak




Between the 14th and 17th centuries, settlers from northern Mazovia moved to former teritories of Old Prussians following their conquest by Teutonic Order .

Since the bishopry of Warmia became part of Poland in 1466 , most of Warmiaks remained Catholics, while Mazur s became Protestants. They populated the areas around Olsztyn .
