There is an active school board and parent staff association (PSA). The school has a wide range of activities on offer, curricular and extra-curricular. Sporting activities (which can be accessed through the physical education curriculum and/or as extra acitivites) include football, rugby, swimming, badminton, basketball, volleyball, dancing, canoe polo, golf, gymnastics, athletics, golf, weight training and ski-ing (the school has an annual ski trip with McLaren High School). There are concerts presented throughout the year; the Christmas concert comprises choirs, musical ensembles and a short play, which has recently been in the form of a pantomime. There is also a concert in March, which gives musical soloists a chance to perform. Perhaps the most popular event is the School Show in summer, which is run on three nights, and is written by headteacher Mrs Horsburgh. EXTERNAL LINKS |
