WIWB, channel 14, also known as '''Wisconsin's WB''', is a primary WB and secondary I network affiliate serving the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. The station is licenced to Suring, Wisconsin and is owned by Acme Communications .

HISTORY

WIWB signed on the air on February 22 , 1984 , as WSCO-TV, airing religious programming. However, financial problems would force the station off the air by 1987 . In 1993 it returned to the air with home shopping programming. In 1998 , the station joined the Pax network under the Call Letters WPXG.

In 1999, Acme Communications purchased the station and added a primary WB affiliation, changing the call letters to the current WIWB. The station continued to air Pax programming in the off-hours for several years, but does not do so currently.

CW NETWORK

On March 9, 2006, WIWB (Channel 14) was confirmed as Green Bay's The CW Network affiliate beginning September 2006. Current UPN affiliate WACY (Channel 32) will switch to NewsCorp 's My Network TV programming service.
