Youth of the Nation was a hit for
P.O.D. in 2002. It was the second single to come from their album ''
Satellite ''. It was inspired in part by the school shootings at
Santana High School and
Granite Hills High School .
The final chorus (of children singing "We are the youth of the nation") has been used on many TV adverts and credits.
This song was featured in
"Weird Al" Yankovic 's song Angry White Boy Polka on his album
Poodle Hat .
