West-Knollendam () is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland . It is a part of the municipality of Zaanstad , and lies about 15 km northwest of Amsterdam . The village is located on the Zaan River . On the opposite shore lies Oostknollendam , in the municipality of Wormerland .

In 2001, the town of West-Knollendam had 468 inhabitants.
