This, the oldest University Botanical Garden was established at UBC in 1916 and is a major center for research and teaching. In addition to the Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden the campus boasts North America 's largest collection of Rhododendrons in the Asian Garden. A typical pharmacy of the 16th and 17th Century is laid out in the Physick Garden. Tours are available and the gardens are wheelchair accessible. There is an admission fee.
