ANNUAL PROGRAMING

Summer Kallah

The first and longest event of the year. It usually lasts 3-5 days. Some Summer Kallah traditions include TYG color wars and a talent show. Usually held at a camp.

Leadership Kallah

One of two Kallot during which a region-wide board meeting is held and resoloutions are proposed and voted on. At Leadership, TYG leaders meet with their regional board counterparts to discuss ideas and plans for the year.

Fall Kallah

Typically the "Social Action" Kallah. At this Kallah much of the time is focused on Tikkun Olam or "reparing the earth". This is also the event when the regional board is auctioned off as "dates" for the formal dance at Winter Kallah to raise money for tzedakah.

Winter Kallah

Usually held at a synagougue, as opposed to a camp, and includes a formal dance during which NFTY alumni are invited to return.

Boards Kallah

The second of two Kallot during which a board meeting is held. During this meeting the board for the next year is chosen and resoloutions are proposed and voted on.

Freshco/LTI Kallah

This Kallah has two tracks. The first for incoming 8th graders and freshman and the second for prospective leaders. Almost always held at Camp Tamarack {Link without Title} .

Spring Kallah

The final Kallah of the year and often the most emotional one as it is the graduating seniors' last Kallah.
