The link unit was based on Gunter's Measurement where a metal chain consisting of 100 links was used to measure land area. Links were commonly used in Surveying property in the English-speaking World before the 20th Century , but are now rarely used. Link is usually abbreviated as ''l.'', ''li.'' or ''lnk.'' |
