inCircle is a social networking service developed for students and Alumni of Stanford University .

Since the first inCircle community launched at Stanford in January 2002, Affinity Engines, maker of inCircle, has contracted with over 40 institutions of Higher Education including University of Michigan, University of Southern California, University of Texas, Dartmouth College, Northwestern University, Georgetown University, University of Florida, and Santa Clara University. inCircle was the first branded social networking platform built to integrate with University legacy databases. Each inCircle community is exclusive and authenticated based on alumni/student databases eliminating the posibility of anonymous inappropriate content. This provides a level of trust and context not found in other public social networking communities. The inCircle platform continues to develope quickly to stay on the forefront of social networking technology. The grassroots nature of social networking platforms makes them incredibly easy for institutions to manage because the vast majority of the content is contributed by the users.
