Grand Army Plaza is a station on the IRT Eastern Parkway Line of the New York City Subway , located underneath Flatbush Avenue at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn . It is a local station with a very wide island platform, under which the express tracks and BMT Brighton Line tracks pass (built at the same time as part of the Dual Contracts ). The only Mosaic is a small "P". In the Mezzanine , there is a ceramic and bronze relief sculpture based on the original logo, featuring angels blowing a trumpet and gesturing toward a subway car. The work is entitled ''Wings for the IRT'', and was created in 1995 by artist Jane Greengold . POINTS OF INTEREST
