She was operated from 1944 until 1946 by the Royal Navy , when she was called HMS ''Dovovan''. In 1946 she reverted back to the Ministry of War Transport and ''Empire Battleaxe''. She was returned to the United States Maritime Commission in 1947. She was laid up in James River , Virginia in 1950 and scrapped at New Jersey in 1966. REFERENCES |
