The Dutch Aeroplane Company VOF is a small Aircraft manufacturing company based in Den Haag , the Netherlands . Currently ( 2006 ) it is working to create a new two seat Kitplane called the RangeR, powered by a converted Opel Turbo-diesel Automotive Engine . The company hopes that the RangeR will be available soon after its first flight as an experimental kit. The company is a group of dedicated volunteers led by Evert Cornet and Jan Laurier. Cornet and Laurier were inspired several years ago when they saw the French Dieselis experimental airplane at a British Popular Flying Association airshow in 1999 . The Dieselis was a “technology demonstrator” put together to prove that you can indeed make a reasonable two seat sporting aircraft around today’s automotive diesel engine technology. EXTERNAL LINKS |
