Diego de Rojas was a Spanish Conqueror of the 16th century. The first encounter of the Spaniards with the natives who lived in the present Argentine territory, took place during the 1540 expeditions of Rojas on the Northern part of present Argentina, shortly after the conquest of Peru by Francisco Pizarro .

The extensive one crossed of this follower by earth ignotas, following the course of the rivers, it allowed them to verify the cultural differences between the tribes, adapted to the geographic possibilities of each site.
