The Aztec army consisted of Eagle Warriors and Jaguar Knights . Eagle warriors wore eagle feathers and helmets shaped like eagle heads. They were trained to make surprise raids on a city at dawn and lived in special houses. Jaguar knights wore jaguar skins and helmets shaped like jaguar heads or pointed hats of jaguar skin.
