The Arctic Cape is sometimes used as starting point for expeditions to the North Pole . Although the Arctic Cape is situated in the extreme north of the country, it is not the northernmost point of Russia. This distinction goes to Cape Fligeli (mys Fligeli) on Rudolf-Island (ostrow Rudolfa), an island in the Franz Josef Land archipelago. |
