On 1587 after his father surrendered to Toyotomi Hidenaga at Taka Castle , he was given as a hostage to Hidenaga as a show of obedience. He has since fought as a retainer under the Shimazu clan at Seven-Year War , Battle Of Sekigahara and killed Ijuin Tadazane to put down a potential rebellion. He was counted as a most important retainer and became a Karo . During peacetime of Edo period, he took up teaching of retainers as well as developing industries. |
