De’Silva first came into notoriety for designing the Alfa Romeo 156 and 147 . From Alfa, he was poached by SEAT , where he designed the current incarnations of the Ibiza , León and Toledo , employing the same sporty design philosophy.

De’Silva's first design since becoming head of styling for Lamborghini was the 2006 Lamborghini Miura Concept , first shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January.
